2009 Breeders Cup Dirt Mile Result

The pre-race favourite was the Aiden O Brien trained Mastercraftsman but he was never in the race on the dirt which left outsider Furthest Land to claim the victory in impressive fashion. In second place was 25/1 shot Ready's Echo who managed to finish just ahead of the well fancied Midshipman in one of the best races of the two days.
